I couldn't agree more with Brownman. Often times, the friendship with your best friend of the opposite sex has to change slightly when you have a new leading man/woman in your life. Gives you perspective in a world where guys are all about one thing. Just be prepared for when you do find the right guy, and he isn't cool with you having as best a platonic friend as "so-and-so". I'll be first to admit that any male best friend of my woman is a threat...because there's that emotional bond another guy like me can't understand unless I had it with some chick myself. We get in there, see this threat, and have no defense for it. Sure sure, "well if he can't deal with 'so-and-so' then he isn't for me!". But you think guys are smart enough get past that?
